CS34 Trip Prep for NOTL

We have a reservation at Niagara-On-The-Lake Sailing Club for Mon to Wed with our friends the Pingles on their boat.

Still Time has not been on a trip this year.

Rita was busy getting our clothes and food together.

I was busy on the boat getting her ready to go.

Checked the fluids; especially since I had the cooling system apart this spring.
All good, no leaks.
Diesel fuel was at 3/4 of a tank.

Used a wetvac to dry out the bilges.

Screwed down the floorboards.  I had removed the screws holding down one of the floorboards to troubleshoot the bilge pump wiring, and didn't screw it down.  It was annoying to step and feel some give in the floorboards which are normally solid.

Emptied and cleaned the water tanks.
The water coming out of the taps was stale, stinky.
So I emptied the water tanks, put a couple of capfulls of bleach, and fill tanks.
After letting them sit for a couple of hours, drained/filled both of them twice to flush them out.
Water smells great now.
We don't drink the water from the tanks, just use it for washing.
We have blue 5 gallon jugs for drinking water.

Also emptied many unused lines and such from the cockpit lockers.

Spent some time troubleshooting why there is no alarm on the Yanmar engine panel.
After having the electrical taken apart when I was doing work on the engine this spring, the alarm you hear when you turn the key to start was not working.  This also meant that the oil pressure or water temperature idiot light/alarm was not working.
Turns out I had bumped one of the connectors to the engine panel when cleaning the cockpit lockers.
Once I found it, it was an easy fix to just reconnect it.

Short trip to provision at the LCBO.

Rita made the boat nice and cozy:

We slept on the boat so we could get away fairly early the next morning.
