Notice how I taped off the bottom of the transom. This area was always stained with marine growth, so I masked it off even with the top of the striping, and Interprotected and VC17ed it. Also did the same a little higher on the rudder.
Used one can of VC17 for two coats.
Also touched up a couple of spots on Ian's "Glory B" and did the rudder on one of the sailing school boats.
Yesterday Dale and I had put another layer of gelcoat on the bow. Will sand later using 600/800/1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Hopefully this is the last coat. Dale may do another one this afternoon.
So the motor is ready to go, will bring to club on Friday night.
Still need to:
- Fill tank with gas
- Fill keel joint with Sikaflex
- Attach tiller
- Clean up boot stripe
- Quick wax of hull
- Sand bow gelcoat repair (not going to be too picky here)
