CS34 Whitby to Oakville

After getting the boat in the water and fueled, I headed out single handed to Oakville.

Destination The Oakville Club to use Still Time as a boatel while Marshalling at the RBC Canadian Open.

Left at around 1pm, arrived in Oakville a little after 8pm.

Winds were 10-12 knots on the nose from the west, so I motor sailed (sans sails)until the Leslie Spit.

Off Ashbridges Bay approaching Toronto

The autopilot was not working, saying "NO DRIVE DETECTED" which meant I had to actually steer the boat!  I was planning on giving her a good cleaning.  I thought the problem was with the connection at the wheel drive, however, it was at the pilot computer in the port locker:

The cable must have been accidentally disconnected by Peter Karadi's worker gaining access to the rudder when they dropped it for the repair.

Winds swung a little to the south west and increased to 20 knots, and I was able to sail (sans motor) with full genoa and main all the way to Oakville with a working autopilot.

Sailing off Troronto Island

Singled handed on a close reach!

Close reach

Got assigned a slip across the river:

Still Time in Yellow

Had to walk about 5 minutes up over the bridge to use the clubhouse.
Not bad really.

The Oakville Club is AWESOME.

The boat performed well, motoring smoother than ever.
