Fallingwater to Annapolis Maryland

The drive from Fallingwater was interesting because the GPS took us through some Pennsylvania backroads.  We drove up and down MOUNTAINS.  The car really had to work to go up and down those inclines.  When I looked at the GPS track, this route saved us a lot of driving!

The rest of the drive was very stressful because it was dark and raining VERY hard, and driving up and down steep inclines on the interstate with MANY transport trucks.

We got into Annapolis, called Dave and Nicki to setup a dinner date for tomorrow night.

Our hotel is 17 miles east of Annapolis across a major bridge across Chesapeake Bay called the Bay Bridge.  Traffic was TERRIBLE going toward the bridge.

We were hungry, so we punched in "Seafood Restaurant" into the GPS and it took us to nice Yacht Club on Big Creek that feeds into the Chesapeake.

Awesome clam chowder, and steamed muscles!

We would never have experienced this without the help of the traffic and the GPS!  Some beautiful homes on the way in/out!

Reminds me of one of my favourite Hawksley Workman songs:

The brake lights
Are really quite lovely
Thousands of souls
All stopping together
UH HUH

By 9pm, the traffic had died down, and we got to our hotel.
