Kentuck Knob

First on our PA Frank Lloyd Wright tour was Kentuck Knob.

The house is spectacular, in the woods near to the top of a hill.  Interesting that when the house was built in 1953, it was farmland (no trees).  They planted 9,000 seedlings that grew into the forest we have today:

The current owners had an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall in the sculpture garden:

Kentuck Knob is a very livable house.  The Hagans, the original owners lived in it until 1986 (they were in their 90s), and sold it to a British guy for $600k (!!!).  Lord Palumbo and his family lived in the house for 10 years.  In 1996 he opened the house up for public tours and still lives in it a couple weeks a year.

We could not take pictures in the house because of his private collection of art that he doesn't want photographed.  Lord Palumbo has pictures in the house of himself with Lady Di, Margaret Thatcher, and others.
