CS34 Remove Cover

Rita and I got to Mimico a little after noon to meet the previous owner and take the cover off.  First helped string the replacement main halyard in the mast.  It was about 40ft too short.

Sunny warm 18 degrees!

Onto the cover:

Starting

Rear section off
The cover is zippered in three sections that are easily folded on the ground and fit in the car no problem.

Just a good photo

Aluminum tube framing

Fits over the lifelines
Placed the framing under the boat in the cradle.

Also attached the bimini frame.  Really like it because it fits outside the lifelines, self supporting, and I can stand underneath it in the cockpit.

The Lovely Rita cleaning the deck
The closest water was about 750ft away.  No power washer for me (had brought it and 250ft of hose).  Had to carry buckets of water.

Used a heat gun to remove the Endurance vinyl lettering from the port side.  There still a residue that hopefully Goo Gone will remove.

Port side lettering removed

She looks geat!
The topsides and cockpit cleaned up really well.

The fridge kept the beer cold at -1 degree celcius according to the thermometer.  Very quiet.

Also took a battery to the mast and verified that all the lights were working, including the new LED anchor light.
