Brother in law Hans and I had to deliver a cradle to Etobicoke Yacht Club in the morning:
60km from Whitby; traffic wasn't too bad.
Last week got some feet welded on the cradle in the WYC shop:
This is for work/sailing buddy Scott who sold his CS36 to new owner Frank.
After a forklift took it off at EYC (that was easy), we went to Holland Marine Products to pickup a couple of stanchions for the CS34. I have two bent ones, and have tried to straighten them, so decided that for $60 each I would replace them.
Pulled into HMP and they are closed for retail due to Covid-19.
The owner came to the truck and asked what we are here for.

"Here for a couple of stanchions for a CS34"
"Yup we have them, but you didn't need a trailer to get them"
LOL
Trip Odometer: 75 miles
Avg Speed: 55 knots
Moving Time: 01:21:00

Back to Whitby were we met the ladies and the Pingles.
We decided to got out on separate boats to social distance.
Walter and Colleen went out just before us on The Beckoning.
We decided to got out on separate boats to social distance.
Walter and Colleen went out just before us on The Beckoning.
Left the dock at around 1pm.
Winds were forecast for 10-14 knots from the SSW, so we put in a reef in the main in the harbour, followed shortly by full 110 jib. Little lumpy out there, but this sail combination got us going at 6 knots comfortably.
Sunny and warm, just wonderful sailing!
We caught up to the Pingles on the Beckoning, but they were turning back because Colleen was feeling seasick because she went below to secure stuff in the cabin.
We tacked west and went as far as Ajax close hauled.
Hans chose to steer instead of using the autohelm.
