I needed a pumpout, so I motored over to the pump out dock, and there is a severe grinding metal on metal coming from underwater. I looked behind the engine and don't see anything there.
So it is something wrong with the prop shaft, the propeller, or the cutlass bearing.
Going to arrange for a haulout tomorrow at Port Whitby Marine and see if Peter Karadi can repair it.
Still Time is being hauled out at 10am
Start of lift |
Clear of water |
Out on roadway to Peter Karadi's shop |
The cutlass bearing looks fine.
However, we noticed that the motor would move up and down may half an inch on each rotation of the shaft.
What does BOAT stand for?
Bring
Out
Another
Thousand
I am glad she is hauled out and in capable hands.
