The Beckoning Delivery Day 03 - Tobermory

We slept in until almost 9am!

I made a bacon/egg hash mashup for everyone.
Coffee from the French Press was sooo good (Baileys might have helped).

We got underway a little after 11am.

Winds were forecast for 10-14 knots from the west, so on the nose.
We didn't even bother with the sails.

Waves weren't too bad.

Trip Odometer: 17.81 miles
Moving Avg: 4.5 knots
Max Speed: 8.0 knots
Moving Time: 03:56:00

We arrived in Tobermory harbour a little after 3pm

We wanted to fuel up, pump out, and fill with water, so we went to pull into the municipal dock, but it had a large sailboat and powerboat there already, so we had to tour the harbour for a bit.

We talked to the harbourmaster on the VHF and they called us on the radio when they were ready for us.  Went into the fuel dock around 3:30pm. 40L of fuel and a pump out of both tanks.

The ladies went off to do some shopping and walked around the harbour to the boat.

They harbourmaster was overloaded with transients, so they had us raft off of a work barge.

The harbour staff was very helpful.
We had forgotten to get water at the fuel doc, so the staff brought out a length of hose for us to fill our empty front water tank.

We had the LCBO behind us:

...and BeaverTails across from us:

As well as the cruise line boats coming in and out all afternoon:

Here is a pano of  the harbour from the work barge:

Cocktail Time!

We watched several more sailboats come in and get rafted up to boat further up the harbour.

Little Tug Harbour was very protected.
Here you can see the rough waters further out:

What a great day/night.

We were in bed by 11pm.
