CS34 2021 Cruise East Day 03 Sandy Cove

Up just before 7am, and the first task is to take Shadow ashore for a pee/poop:

Not too far, and flat water!

Shadow looking relieved and relaxed

The tradition at Sandy Cove (usually our first anchorage) is to stay put and give the hull a thorough cleaning.  I spent almost 3 hours in the dingy cleaning the sides of the hull.   Poor girl was filthy.  The sides of the hull had black streaks from pollution in Durham Region.

She shined up nicely

Rita was busy cleaning and organizing below.

After lunch, we headed ashore for a long walk:

Next was to inflate the paddle boards:

We spent much time swimming, paddle boarding, and doing a dingy tour of the bay.

By 3pm it was fun and tonic time!

The Pingles came around the corner:

...and into the bay:

After they anchored, went for a swim:

Our rail mounted BBQ is not working, so we went over to The Beckoning to BBQ some meat and had a really nice dinner and drinks.

Also in the bay was a sister ship to MacIntosh, another Cartright 44 called Millennium Falcon:

Sleep came shortly after dark, as a day of sunshine, swimming, cleaning, and general fun take it toll.
