Peed the dog on the marina dock, and decided to go for a tour around Prinyer's Cove:
- secure paddle boards on deck
- take dinghy motor off
- check the oil
- unzip the main sail cover
- run the jib sheets
Would be a short 12 mile sail around Prince Edward County to Waupoos.
Not much wind in the cove, so we hoisted our main on the way out.
Once around the point, we had 10 knots on the nose to get to Waupoose.
Nice upwind close hauled sailing all the way there.
We did furl the headsail in and motored around the shallow spots before Waupoos.
We were going to anchor to the lee of Waupoos Island, but decided to anchor by the Waupoos Winery:
Winds were to lighten and goto the north overnight, so fine place to anchor.
Sand bottom, no weeds.
We dingyed over to the dock for the winery.
We tried to make a dinner reservation, but they were all booked up.
When we called in the morning, they said it was a first come first served.
Little did we know, that was for lunch. We could have reserved for dinner.
They had a food truck there with some delectable burgers for lunch, and we sampled the local ciders.
We later went for a wine pairing, but we are not fans of apple wine.
The Beckoning was anchored a little close to us:
