We got up, had breakfast on the boat, had a shower and left the dock at little before 10am.
We unfurled the jib and turned the motor off in the 6-8 knots of breeze.
Dockmates Jason and Iyla on Ruya came up behind us under jib and motor.
Some boats were a little faster passing us:
We pulled into the anchorage by Beaurivage Island.

After we got anchored, we noticed 3 familiar boats:
Black Magic |
Black Magic is a CS30 that used to be in WYC for years.
A friend of mine Mike bought it and moved it to QCYC.
We had sold him some extra LiFEPO4 batteries that had for the raceboat ZAMBONI.
They were working great for him
Play Dough |
Play Dough is a Catalina 310 from Whitby Yacht Club.
It was great to see Doug and Andrea again.
Indulgence is a Catalina 36 from Whitby Yacht Club.
Rita and I used to work with Audrey before we retired.
Audrey and her husband Brian bought the 36 last year.
Time to head back to our respective boats for dinner.
Audrey and Brian had an upwind paddle:

It was very warm and humid:
We dingied over to Play Dough, while Brian and Audrey floated over too:

Doug is considering changing his boat name from "Play Dough" to "Lay Doug" LOL
Winds were supposed to pickup to 15+ plus from the SW overnight.
The Beaurivage anchorage is a little exposed to a SW wind, so we headed back to Trident.
Why? BECAUSE WE CAN.
We sailed when we could.
Howe Island Cable Ferry |
