CS34 Squally Drive to Trident

Back home to do some domestic things!

We did manage to see the Professors of Funk in downtown Oshawa:

KARS on KING is always a fun event.
Most of the downtown is shutdown with classic cars.
My mom actually had one of these:

1982 Buick Regal

Also had a great time at my daughter's house party:

Live band "The Doozies"

MEGA JENGA

...and a trip to Reptilia in Whitby with grand daughter:

Time to get back to "the cottage".

There was a squall watch notification on my phone.

Driving past Cobourg on the 401, we could see the cumulous clouds building:

Major dumps of rain just north of us:

Then we got hit with the rain.  Had to slow down to 20km/h as the windshield wipers could not keep up!

It was weird, this dump of rain, and blue skies just south of us:

Pretty wild!  Took us an extra half hour to get there.

Winds were howling 25+ knots from the west:

I checked on all the boats on our dock, as fenders and lines were being stressed in the blow:

We were treated to a sunset/moonset:

Neat shot of the boats in the Trident basin:

To the south of us there was sheet lightning:

We watched it from the stern of Still Time for several hours.
