After a Friday with the grand daughter, it was back to the boat.
We left Bowmanville a little after 1pm; drive was easy on a Saturday afternoon.
Our first stop was Kingston Sail Loft to pickup the repaired spinnaker.
John did a great job and only charged me $40 cash.
He ended up gluing and sewing new material across the entire tack.
Can't even see the repair!
Our next stop was Marine Outfitters to pickup some large round fenders.
These fenders are 18" in diameter and fit outside the regular fenders.
They will take most of the force from a west wind driving the boat to the dock.
They are expensive at $110 a piece, but figured it would save wear and tear on the regular fenders, and save the gelcoat/striping on the boat.

Moon on the Bateau Channel:
Afterwards we went for a walk by the Stone and South condos.
When we got back to the boat to mix a cocktail, we didn't have any ice; it was all melted, and the fridge was somewhat warm. Sure enough the fridge compressor was not coming on:
Got out my volt meter and the voltage to the compressor was 10.9 volts!
Reading the manual for the compressor controller, it has a low voltage disconnect at 11 volts.
So what had happened is last Wed when we left, I had accidentally tripped the breaker for the battery charger, and the fridge had run the house batteries down.
The AC shore power charger only does 20amps to the house battery, so I started the motor and ran it for about half an hour with the alternator dumping 90+ amps into the house bank.
There was nothing wrong with the fridge and compressor!
