We quickly checked into our hotel and headed to the boat to meet Durk and his wife Linda at the boat.
Linda would be taking Carl's car back to Nova Scotia tomorrow loaded with cruising gear not needed for the race.
It was then we got the news that Durk's brother John got a positive COVID test and would not be coming. This is a blow for Durk, as John knows that boat better then anyone. We would be sailing with 7 crew.
Durk got to the front of the line to get the boat registered.
It took us three crew members another 2 hours waiting in line to get registered with Bermuda customs.
By then Luca and Derek had arrived from Detroit, so we all went for dinner:
