Golf Buddy Neil and I really enjoy volunteering for the Open.
We were working the par 5 hole #11:
Once we were done our shifts, we were able to watch some golf from INSIDE THE ROPES.

It got really busy on Sat/Sun with the big groups:
The high of the week was on Saturday, we got passes into the St Georges clubhouse.
Had some drinks, a nice lunch, and met a couple of the players who had finished their round.

The weirdest thing I have ever experienced at an Open?
I was standing beside a spectator by the ropes above, and heard a loud THUD.
The guy I was talking to got hit with a dead rabbit from above.
Blood soaked his leg and shoes.
A hawk on the hole caught the rabbit and dropped it from the sky!
On Sunday we got to following the groups in to 18.
