Much different than yesterday morning! 1-2 ft waves with no wind.
Motored for a couple of hours; 7 knots @2670 RPM.
Course was basically due north magnetic.
Wind filled in to about 12 knots from the NW, so I unfurled the jib and hoisted the main with a reef.
Close hauled could do about 5 knots using the sails.
After a while the wind died slightly and I would fire up the motor to keep our speed over 5 knots.
Also shook out the reef in the main.
About 1/2 way across the lake, the wind increased and was able to shut the motor off for good.
6+knots of speed.
About 10 miles from shore, the winds increased to 15 knots and swung to the west. Beam reach with 7+ knots of boat speed.
Turning the corner at Prince Edward Point, hardening up to head to Waupoos, the winds increased to 25+. Luckily I had put I a reef before this. Boat was majorly healed over, and we were doing 8+ knots. About 2 miles from Waupoos Island, we dropped the sails and motored the rest of the way in, giving Rita and Bogart a break.

Waupoos marina: $62 for a night; welcome to the expense of marinas!

The water was very clear, but weedy
After everyone got settled in, 10 of us walked for half an hour up the county road to the Waupoos Winery. This place was absolutely beautiful, we were too late for a wine tasting, but did a have WONDERFUL dinner (and of course great wine).
Tom and I walked down to the water where they had a dock. We couldn't tell the depth. We thought that one of us could go back to the Marina and get a boat to bring everyone back. I was the logical candidate because I had the least draft at 4.5ft. We decided not to do this because it would be dark and we would be uncertain of the depth.
We ended up calling a couple of cabs from Picton. $20 a cab plus tip.
