CS34 Kingston to Prinyer's Cove

We did breakfast on board with some nice buns from Panchera's Bakery.

We headed back into town to check out some of the shops on Princess Street in Kingston.

We shoved off around noon and the CORK regatta was in full swing:

We kept the sails down until after we got clear of all the race courses.

We sailed with just the headsail on a close reach all the way the Kerr Bay.  There were cumulous clouds everyone around us, and we could hear thunder in the distance.  It started raining, so in came the headsail and we motored.  We thought of heading into Kerr Bay, but it looked like the bad stuff would miss us.  Motored the rest of the way.

Another 702ft AIS "Dangerous Target" by Lennox GS

That is a 36ft sailboat in front!

We passed Silhouette sailing into Prinyer's Cove:

Coming into Prinyer's Cove are lots of BEAUTIFUL waterfront houses with deep water docks for sailboats.  This wooden one caught my eye, as "Grace Two" is one of my favourite Tragically Hip songs:

After getting anchored, we took Bogart for a pee in the dinghy and went for a tour around the cove:

Later that night at anchor I got the camera out.  Each of these exposures were for about 5 seconds handheld:

The lines in the distance are other people's anchor lights blurred because we were swinging on anchor!

That big blob by the forestay is the moon!

What a great spot!

There were several places for sale in Prinyer's Cove

This one is listed for $649k
Guess I will have to win the 649!

How kewl would it be to dock your sailboat on your own private, protected deep water dock?
